If you've been following Siamey since before Protagonist you may have heard this yummy trance brew constructed with both contemporary trance sounds and a dash of chiptune synth. If so, check it out again. If not, check it out for the first time!
It's been a while since we've updated, and I'm sorry about that. My goal with this webspace has been to update frequently with news and have more free audio for download. The pace will be picking back up soon. We were supposed to have an album release by Destructo, but that has fallen through. Audix should have a new track for release in the near future, and Siamey tells me that he is hard at work on a new album.
I have been talking with some folks about working with them on a really cool project which I'll give more details about once it finally gets rolling and I know what I can talk about. Also, I am working on putting together materials for SGXRMX3 - the third SGX remix album. Check out SGXRMX2. Watch for it! This year I am planning on donating profits from the remix project to some sort of music education program. If you make music, I hope you'll stay tuned to this site or sgxmusic.com and consider participating!

Here are some shots of the prints of Siamey's "Going Away" album. Check out my flickr for more photos.
Update: I just realized that the last two albums have trees on the cover. We're not trying for any tree theme or anything, and I believe Siamey's art (done by a Mike Cook) was done before I even began working on Audix's, though I didn't see it until recently. Coincidence!

"Going Away" is Siamey's concept album soundtrack to an RPG that exists in his mind. Heavily influenced by Nobuo Uematsu, composer of the Final Fantasy game series, "Going Away" exhibits 16 and 32-bit Japanese role playing game style modulated with electronica, trance, and chiptune elements. 23 bite-sized tracks fill out this disc with an impressive gamut of unique tunes.
Total length 59:05
From Siamey's album, Going Away. Dark, shifty, mysterious groove with a phat, Rob Dougan-esque beat. Get sneakin'!
Siamey's first album release on Protagonist, "Going Away" will be available in both disc and digital formats next Wednesday the 24th! The disc will cost $12.99 and the digital $7.99. The disc will be a very limited run production, so if you are interested in that, I suggest not waiting long after release to order. Siamey gives us this quirky little upbeat track from his album, "Going Away." Blending light e-piano grooves with frenetic drum and bass beats, it is a brief but entertaining shot of audio.
This track comes from Siamey's upcoming album, "Going Away" which is a concept album where each track is written with certain video game scenes in mind. This song reminds me of overworld map music in an RPG, but Siamey has given it a very interesting twist with a synth bassline and a crunchy beat.
